Amethyst Cat customer care

Terms of service

The terms that apply to use of the store, orders and the contract of sale.

Terms of Service

Effective date: 11 August 2026

These Terms of Service govern the use of amethystcat.eu and consumer purchases made through the online store. Please read them together with our Shipping Policy, Cancellation, Returns and Refund Policy, Privacy Policy and the information shown on the relevant product and checkout pages.

1. Seller information

The seller and operator of this online store is:

Kivikauppa Ametistikissa
Business ID: 3607143-3
Kaukolantie 21
23800 Laitila
Finland
Email: info@ametistikissa.fi

In these Terms, “Ametistikissa”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Kivikauppa Ametistikissa. “You” and “customer” refer to the person using the store or placing an order.

2. Scope and consumer rights

These Terms are intended primarily for sales to consumers in the EU countries to which we deliver. A consumer is a natural person acting mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. If you wish to purchase mainly for business purposes, contact us before ordering.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, limits or replaces mandatory consumer rights. If the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you greater protection and applies to the contract, that protection remains available.

3. Eligibility to place an order

By placing an order, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into the purchase contract. If you are under the age at which you may independently enter into the contract or use the selected payment method, you must have permission from your parent or legal guardian.

You must provide accurate, complete and current information required to process payment and delivery. You may not place an order using another person's identity, payment details or account without authorisation.

4. Products and product information

The main characteristics, price and availability of each product are shown on its product page. Please read the description, measurements, materials, care information, safety information and any product-specific restrictions before ordering.

We take reasonable care to present product information accurately. Images may appear different depending on lighting, photography and screen settings. Measurements and weights may be approximate where stated or where minor variation is inherent in the product.

5. Natural variation and individual pieces

Crystals, minerals and stone products naturally vary in colour, pattern, transparency, inclusions, surface structure, size and shape. These characteristics may differ between products and are part of the nature of the material. Such variation is not automatically a defect when the delivered product corresponds to its description and to what a consumer can reasonably expect.

If a product is described as an individually photographed or unique piece, we will supply the identified piece. If a listing uses representative photographs for products selected from a group, the product will be selected according to the description and may not be identical to the example shown.

Nothing in this section permits us to supply a materially different, damaged, unsafe or incorrectly described product, and it does not restrict your statutory rights.

6. Crystal-related and wellbeing information

Information about traditional, cultural, symbolic, spiritual or wellbeing-related uses of crystals is provided for general informational and inspirational purposes. It is not medical, psychological, legal or other professional advice, and no product is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent a disease.

Do not delay or replace professional healthcare because of information on our store. Always follow applicable product warnings and seek qualified advice when needed. This section does not limit our responsibility for product safety, accurate mandatory information or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Product safety and use

Use products only for their intended purpose and follow all warnings and care instructions supplied with the product. Some products may be small, heavy, fragile, sharp, breakable or unsuitable for young children. Keep small products and detachable parts away from children and pets where they could present a choking or injury risk.

Stop using a product if it becomes damaged in a way that may make it unsafe. Jewellery materials and suitability are described where relevant; customers with known sensitivities should review the stated materials before use. These precautions do not reduce our obligations under applicable product-safety or consumer law.

8. Availability

Products are offered subject to availability. Adding a product to the cart does not reserve it. In rare cases, inventory information may be incorrect or two customers may attempt to purchase the same individual piece.

If a product becomes unavailable after you order, we will contact you without undue delay. We will not substitute another product without your agreement. We will refund the unavailable product and any related amount required by law, or cancel and refund the entire order if the remaining order cannot reasonably be fulfilled.

9. Prices, VAT and delivery charges

Prices on the EU store are shown in euros and include applicable VAT unless clearly stated otherwise. Delivery charges and any other mandatory additional costs are shown before you place the order. The total payable amount is displayed at checkout.

We may change prices prospectively at any time. A price change does not affect an order for which a contract has already been concluded, except where the law permits correction of an obvious error and the requirements for doing so are met.

Discounts and promotional codes are subject to their stated conditions, validity period and product restrictions. Unless otherwise stated, discounts cannot be combined. A discount has no cash value and cannot reduce the order below zero.

10. Obvious errors

We make reasonable efforts to prevent errors in prices, descriptions and promotions. If information contains an obvious material error that a reasonable customer should have recognised as an error, we may contact you promptly to explain it and offer the lawful options available, such as confirming the order on corrected terms or cancelling it with a full refund.

We will not unilaterally increase the agreed price after the contract has been concluded, and this section does not override mandatory rules governing pricing errors, unfair terms or binding contracts.

11. Placing an order and formation of the contract

The checkout pages allow you to review and correct the order before submitting it. By selecting the final button indicating an obligation to pay, you place a binding order for the products in the cart at the displayed total price and accept these Terms and the policies incorporated into the contract.

After the order is submitted, we send an electronic order confirmation. The purchase contract is concluded when we send confirmation that we accept the order. An automated acknowledgement that only confirms technical receipt does not constitute acceptance if it clearly states that acceptance will follow separately.

The order confirmation and applicable contractual information will be provided by email or another durable medium. Please retain them. Contact us promptly if the confirmation contains an error.

12. Refusing or cancelling an order

Before accepting an order, we may refuse it for a legitimate reason, including unavailability, failed payment authorisation, an unsupported delivery address, an obvious material error, a legal restriction, or a reasonable and proportionate suspicion of fraud or misuse.

If we cancel after receiving payment, we will notify you and refund the relevant amount without undue delay. Nothing in this section limits any remedy available to you under mandatory law.

13. Payment

Available payment methods may include Klarna, MobilePay, Shopify Payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paytrail and PayPal. The methods actually available depend on the delivery country, device, currency, order and payment provider and are shown at checkout.

Payment is processed securely by the selected payment provider. The provider may apply its own terms, privacy notice, identity checks, credit assessment or eligibility requirements. For invoice, instalment or credit products, the payment provider is responsible for the separate credit decision and credit terms.

You must be authorised to use the selected payment method. The amount may be authorised or charged when the order is placed in accordance with the payment method shown at checkout. We are not required to dispatch an order until payment has been successfully authorised or otherwise confirmed.

If a payment is reversed, rejected or remains unpaid without lawful justification, we may suspend fulfilment, cancel the order where permitted, and pursue the unpaid amount and reasonable lawful recovery costs. This does not affect your right to dispute an incorrect charge or exercise statutory consumer rights.

14. Delivery

We currently deliver through the EU store to the destinations listed in our Shipping Policy. Delivery methods, charges, processing times, estimates, tracking, address responsibilities and procedures for delayed, damaged or missing parcels are described in that policy and at checkout.

Unless another time has been expressly agreed, goods will be delivered without undue delay and no later than the mandatory deadline under applicable consumer law. Risk of loss or damage generally remains with us until you or a third party designated by you, other than the carrier, takes physical possession, except where mandatory law provides otherwise for a carrier independently commissioned by you.

15. Order cancellation and right of withdrawal

Consumers purchasing online generally have a 14-day right to withdraw without giving a reason, subject to statutory exceptions. The period, notification procedure, return address, return costs, exceptions and refund process are set out in our Cancellation, Returns and Refund Policy.

To cancel before dispatch or exercise the right of withdrawal, use our withdrawal form or send an unambiguous statement to info@ametistikissa.fi. Not collecting or refusing a parcel does not by itself constitute a clear withdrawal notice.

16. No voluntary product exchanges

We do not offer voluntary product exchanges. An eligible product may be returned in accordance with our Cancellation, Returns and Refund Policy, after which you may place a new order. This does not restrict a statutory right to repair or replacement for non-conforming goods.

17. Incorrect, missing or non-conforming goods

If a product is missing from the parcel, we will refund the missing product or, where appropriate and agreed with you, send it without an additional delivery charge. We will not require you to accept a substitute.

If goods are damaged, defective, incorrect, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract, contact us with your order number and a description of the problem. Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may be entitled to repair or replacement free of charge or, when the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or termination and refund.

Consumers in the EU have at least the minimum legal guarantee required by EU law. National law may provide a longer period or other additional rights. Further procedures are explained in our Cancellation, Returns and Refund Policy.

18. Complaints

Send complaints to info@ametistikissa.fi and include your name, order number, the product concerned and a clear description of the requested remedy. We will review the complaint and respond within a reasonable time.

Photographs or other reasonable evidence may help us investigate a problem, but we will not impose evidence requirements that unlawfully prevent you from exercising mandatory rights.

19. Store accounts and website use

If customer accounts are available, you are responsible for keeping your login information confidential and for activity carried out through your account, except to the extent the activity results from our failure to meet a legal or security obligation. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

You may use the store only for lawful personal shopping and information purposes. You must not:

  • use the store fraudulently or in breach of law or another person's rights;
  • introduce malicious code, interfere with security, overload the service or attempt unauthorised access;
  • scrape, copy or commercially exploit store content in a way that infringes our or another person's rights; or
  • submit false reviews, abusive material, unlawful content or misleading information.

We may take proportionate steps to protect the store, customers and our rights, including restricting access or cancelling fraudulent orders. We will not restrict access in a way that unlawfully prevents you from managing an existing contract or exercising consumer rights.

20. Reviews and content submitted by users

If you submit a review, image, question or other content, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it is truthful, relevant and lawful. Do not include another person's personal data or material that infringes intellectual-property, privacy or other rights.

You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, translate, format and display it for operating and promoting our store and products, for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes. You may ask us to remove personal content, subject to legal retention duties and legitimate records of transactions or disputes.

We may moderate or remove content that is unlawful, irrelevant, fraudulent, abusive or violates these Terms. We will not manipulate reviews in a misleading manner or present paid endorsements as independent customer reviews.

21. Intellectual property

The store design, photographs, graphics, text, branding, logos and other original content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and make ordinary personal use of the store. No other licence is granted unless expressly stated.

You may not reproduce, publish, sell, modify or commercially exploit protected content without the relevant rights holder's permission, except where the law permits the use without permission. Product names or trademarks belonging to others remain the property of their respective owners.

22. Third-party services and links

The store relies on third-party services for functions such as hosting, checkout, payment, delivery, reviews and analytics. Links may also lead to external websites. Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy notices.

We are responsible for selecting and using service providers as required by law, but we do not control unrelated external websites. A link does not automatically mean that we endorse all external content. Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that the law places on us for fulfilment of your purchase contract.

23. Availability and changes to the website

We aim to keep the store available and accurate, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed. We may maintain, update or change website functions and content. Product, price or policy changes apply prospectively unless stated otherwise or required by law.

Temporary website unavailability does not remove obligations under an existing purchase contract. You may contact us by email if an online function needed to exercise a consumer right is unavailable.

24. Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or legal duty to the extent required by applicable law. Where the law permits a limitation, we are generally responsible for loss that was a reasonably foreseeable consequence of the breach. We are not responsible for loss caused solely by your unlawful action, misuse contrary to clear instructions, or an event for which applicable law does not make us responsible.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, defective or unsafe products where liability cannot be limited, or any other liability or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Products are sold for personal consumer use unless agreed otherwise. Any exclusion of business loss, loss of profit or commercial interruption applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not affect consumer claims for compensable loss.

25. Events outside reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay caused by an exceptional event outside our reasonable control to the extent permitted by law. We will take reasonable steps to reduce its effects, inform you of a material delay and perform our obligations as soon as reasonably possible.

This section does not remove rights relating to delayed or failed delivery, including a right to set an additional reasonable deadline or terminate the contract where the legal requirements are met.

26. Privacy and cookies

We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Information about cookies and similar technologies is provided in our cookie notice and consent tool. Payment providers, delivery companies and other necessary service providers may process personal data under their own notices and applicable law.

27. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for future use of the store and future orders, for example when our services, payment methods or legal obligations change. The Terms applicable when your purchase contract is concluded continue to govern that order unless a later change is required by law or you expressly agree to it.

The effective date appears at the top. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.

28. Severability and no waiver

If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be interpreted or limited only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply where legally possible. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.

29. Governing law and courts

These Terms and purchase contracts are governed by Finnish law. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protection provided by the law of the country where the consumer habitually resides where that law applies.

Disputes may be brought before the competent courts of Finland. A consumer may also bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence where applicable consumer-jurisdiction rules provide that right. Nothing in this section requires a consumer to use a forum that would unlawfully restrict their rights.

30. Resolving disputes

Please contact us first at info@ametistikissa.fi so that we can try to resolve the matter directly.

If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, the consumer may seek assistance from the consumer advice service or European Consumer Centre relevant to the case. A matter within its competence may also be referred to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board:

Consumer Disputes Board
Website: www.kuluttajariita.fi/en
Mailing address: P.O. Box 306, FI-00531 Helsinki, Finland

The Board is an independent out-of-court dispute-resolution body. Its procedure is free, its decisions are recommendations, and ordinary complaints must currently be filed in Finnish or Swedish. Consumers in cross-border disputes may contact the European Consumer Centres Network for guidance.
